The world has plenty of critics already!

The demise of a wild pregnant elephant in Thiruvizhamkunnu forest section of Kerala has triggered a nationwide outrage in the past couple of days. Despite fact-checking the information, we see a majority of us posting 'Sorry' and 'Humanity lost' on their social media handles. There is yet another group, which claims this unrest among the people for the issue is rather just overreaction and an act of stupidity.

Firstly, the reality of how the elephant had been injured remains uncertain. There is an equal possibility of this might even be natural and the elephant would have eaten the tampered pineapple fruit which was initially thought to be kept for protecting the fields from the ruckus caused by the wild boars or it could even be some morons who had intentionally fed the elephant.

The state government of Kerala assured that this unethical and inhuman act will be taken as a serious issue and the offenders if any will be punished. Some of the NGOs have even announced cash rewards to people who help the officers trace this offence. So without properly knowing what the real cause was, we should not slash an entire community, a state or its government in the name of culture or demographic values, though a few 'True Nationalists' will try creating a riot in the name of a poor elephant into their political favour. Where have you ever been when thousands of migrant workers were walking back to their native towns and villages with no ray of hope and certainty about their future?

Being empathetic and posting sorry posts are normal after all we are humans, but it lies in the fact that how we express our concern or react to it. If some of you still feel that it is the result of improper culture or a community then get a life, you guys. For the people who love criticizing the mass for their dose of dopamine, I feel sorry that we are not as perfect "human being" as you.

This is a time where we should all stand together though in distance to overcome a great economic recession which we are likely to face shortly. Let us unite for the cause of expressing our concern over the wildlife and try to be humane, sane and sensible. We are with you Kerala.
